This is our first grand-daughter and our only daughter.  We have had such a great time with this little angel.  This little hat she is wearing her grandmother made.  She is the cutest little old lady who struggles with arthritis and still manages to make the cutest little creations. 

Seeing toys strewn everywhere just makes my heart soar.  Not sure why but something about the randomness of the little toys just makes me happy.

Isn't she beautiful?  Ugh! I can't get enough.

halibut fishing

My son and his best friend from Wyoming flew in to fish in Homer with us.  My son is on the right.

Day one of fishing

I hung out in Homer while these guys fished.  There are tons of little shops to entertain me.

Halibut fishing Day two.  The biggest halibut was 115 lbs.  They caught rock fish, cod, and halibut.  We always fish with Polebenders.  When going on a fishing trip always book with a good charter.  It really does make a difference. 

driving the denali hwy

The Denali Highway is a long dirt road that takes you to Paxson.  Paxson is probably nothing to write home about but the views on the Denail are definitely notable.  Normally we see all kinds of wildlife but today we did not see much.  But we had a great time just going on a drive, taking goofy pictures, and visiting with my dad.  I love when you make good memories that you will have forever. It is priceless.

lunch date

There is no restaurant in our tiny town.  We miss eating out sometimes and so we took to the road for two hours one way to have lunch.  It was a beautiful drive.

 Do you ever look at yourself and think, "Wow....she's old"?  I do not feel as old as I look but I am grateful for my age.  I am 43 years this year.  I have had a wonderful life.  I have a great dad, wonderful husband, great kids, wonderful daughter in law and three absolutely gorgeous grandchildren.  I can leave out family and friends.  That Bitz family is as close as it gets to being family without having our blood in their veins.  (they are the family you see in my pictures all the time)

the ranch

There were a couple of these cute little bridges throughout the property.

I loved walking across them or I would just watch the water flow underneath them.  It was all so very serene.

The ranch cat....I can't remember her name.  We mostly just called her kitty.  She hated people...most of them anyway.  She would snuggle my legs when I was working on something but ignored me most other times.

 The horses were fun to watch in the evenings.  They came close in the morning and ran in the evenings. 

I'm obsessed with inspiration boards.  I love to see what inspires others.  It is always so different.  This one is Tricia's.  I loved it.

Tricia never does anything half way.  They had a little open house for me at an adorable little shop called Jane & Main.  Tricia made gourmet rice crispy treats for the occasion.  (Oreo, Neapolitan, and Oh Henry)  I tell her that she is Martha Stewart on steroids.

 

Oops I almost forgot about Larry.  He was a naughty bull on a Ranch that bordered the Eardley Ranch.  He was so entertaining.  He had such personality I could spot him a mile away.  I decided he deserved a name, a name like Larry.  Gotta love that Larry!

Wyoming visit with family

 It was this guys birthday so we celebrated Angry Bird style.

Gordon's brother who acts just like Si from Duck Dynasty.  My nephew handed him a pitcher and a cup.....he was confused.  When we explained that he reminded us of Si he said, "I am nothing like Si, I'm not a Vietnam Vet!"  Uhhhhhhhhhh!  *crickets* LOL

Meet Tricia Gordon's other sister and her oldest son Cody.

Gordon's brother Charlie's kids.  I loved seeing them.  I can't express how wonderful it was to see them!  They lost their mom to cancer almost eight years ago and they lost her mom just this year.  They have been through so much.  Love them to pieces.
